A tool which is often overlooked, but a good pump is priceless
Most cyclists ride with their tyres underinflated. This causes discomfort, loss of grip, excessive wear and slower speeds.
Every cyclist should have at least one good pump to carry on their bike and preferably a track pump for home use
Track pumps allow easier inflation to higher pressures
Guide to typical tyre pressures:

Racing Tyre – 700x 23C

Typical Pressure: 90 – 120 PSI

Mountain Bike 26” x 1.95

Typical Pressure: 30 – 55 PSI

Hybrid Tyre – 700 x 35C

Typical Pressure: 85 PSI

Touring Tyre – 700 x 30C

Typical Pressure: 85-95 PSI
